Football and Cheer Programs
Whitfield County Football and Cheer enables young athletes to excel in athletics while encouraging the value of sportsmanship and competition in a safe and structured environment. Through this active participation, Whitfield County coaches teach fundamental values, skills and knowledge that children will use throughout their careers. The season will be from September-October. Kids must play in age division based on age of September 1 of current year. Cheer is for 4-12 year olds and Tackle Football for 7-12 year olds.
Objectives
To encourage and increase youth participation in football and cheerleading.
To ensure a safe and positive playing environment for all participants.
Everyone participates under mandatory rules of play.
Safe Playing Environment
Players are matched by ages of 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12
5-6 will be Flag Football and all others will be Tackle.
There are strict mandatory equipment requirements.
Whitfield County provides Coaching Clinics and Concussion Training.
